Increase to the limits on tribunal awards and statutory payments from April 2017

From 6 April 2017 the limits on certain tribunal awards and statutory payments will increase.

The maximum compensatory award for unfair dismissal will increase from £78,962 to £80,541. This will apply to cases where the effective date of dismissal is on or after 6 April 2017.

The maximum limit on a week’s pay will increase from £479 to £489. This figure is taken into account when calculating amounts such as statutory redundancy payments and basic awards in unfair dismissal cases.
