Jacksons’ property team was shortlisted earlier this year after submitting its nomination and was selected following an interview by a judging panel consisting of business leaders from the region. The team was up against some strong competition, described by the organisers of the awards as “the most fiercely competitive category”.
In addition, the law firm was shortlisted in three other categories: Trainee of the Year, Sophie Lynas, Team of the Year, Litigation & Dispute Resolution and Law Practice Management Award, Suzanne Graham, partner and head of finance.
Geoff Skeoch, Senior Partner, said, “We are absolutely delighted to have won this award and to have been given recognition for all our hard work over the last 12 months. Both commercial property and residential conveyancing departments are based in our Teesside and Newcastle offices and despite being 40 miles apart, we still manage to pull off great team work. Jacksons has seen a strong period of growth over the last year in these areas of the practice, in both offices. We were equally delighted to have been shortlisted in three additional categories and to have other members of the firm in the spotlight”.
