There is a myth that divorces seem more popular in the cold winter months however recent break-up statistics suggest that divorce rates don’t just peak in the depths of winter, but in the hot days of summer as well.
This debate has arisen from the knowledge that many celebrity divorces have commenced in the summer months of summer 2017 including that of Anna Faris and Chris Pratt. Anna stated that “Life is too short to be in relationships where you feel this isn’t fully right or somebody doesn’t have your back.”
Whilst this is an accurate statement, it is often hard to begin divorce proceedings and break the routine that has been built up during marriage. Many couples remain together for the sake of the children or to wait until after the Christmas period, whilst this may comfort couples short term, in the long term this prolonging of an unhappy marriage can cause more damage than they realise.
