New solicitor Alex Howarth is gearing up to take his career to the next level with Jacksons Law Firm.
Alex has joined the firm’s Litigation team solicitor, three years after qualifying.
He has received a warm welcome from the team and says he enjoys working in the “nice environment” at the firm’s Newcastle offices.
Alex qualified as a solicitor in 2021, after completing his undergraduate degree at Newcastle University and his Legal Practice Course (LPC) at Northumbria University, whilst working as a paralegal.
In his time working in law, Alex has gained experience working in several areas including litigation, clinical negligence and insolvency.
“Having joined the Litigation team at Jacksons, I am looking forward to developing my career in the areas of work I am interested in,” said Alex.
“I am looking forward to being part of a team which is focused on the North East region and doing the type of work I want to do.
“I have worked in law since graduating in 2016 and look forward to gaining more experience with Jacksons.”
In his free time Alex enjoys watching and playing sport including football, cricket, cycling and Formula 1.
He is also a Sunderland AFC supporter.
Speaking of the firm’s Newcastle office, where he is primarily based, Alex said: “It’s a nice modern office in a central location and it’s a friendly, relaxed atmosphere.
“The cases I work on are very wide-ranging and every day is different, which I really like.
“Everyone is very welcoming and accommodating – if you have any questions there are a wide range of people at all levels that you can ask, from fellow solicitors through to partners.”
Toby Joel, partner at Jacksons Law, who heads up the dispute resolution and debt recovery team, said: “Alex has fitted in well to the team and has become a real asset in a very short space of time.
“He is hard-working and has shown a can-do attitude each time he has been presented with something new to deal with.
“We’re looking forward to seeing Alex develop a long and successful career with Jacksons and supporting him every step of the way.”
