Jacksons law firm has been re-appointed to the National Farmers Union (NFU) Legal Panel for the North East of England, following a rigorous and robust re-selection process.
Jacksons, who have an office in Stockton and Newcastle, have served on the NFU panel since it was established 15 years ago and have been providing legal advice to NFU members for over 30 years.
The firm provides specialist advice to NFU members, in the north east of England in connection with their businesses as famers and growers, but also in relation to matters such as succession planning, diversification, probate, family and conveyancing. In addition to this, Jacksons also has a specialist team devoted to advising on equine law. All members receive an initial free consultation and a 12.5% discount on all fees.
Adrienne Patterson, who co-ordinates the Jacksons NFU offering, said, “We are delighted to have been reappointed to the NFU legal panel and to continue our established partnership with them to support the farming community. We look forward to working closely with the NFU team, the north east group secretaries and the members they represent over the next three years. Our appointment recognises the strength of the specialist legal offering Jacksons has and can provide to the agricultural community in the north east”.
Laurie Norris, NFU County Advisor said, “I am delighted that Jacksons Law Firm has been reappointed as NFU Legal Panel Firm in our region, having worked closely with them during my time with the NFU I have seen just how important the working relationship is between our members and Jacksons when they require legal support. The farming industry is facing a challenging time, competing in volatile markets and operating in a more litigious environment. However, it is comforting to know that they have the support of the NFU legal panel firms if, and when, needed”.
Jacksons Law firm is one of the North East’s most successful law firms and has been practising in the Tees Valley for almost 140 years. It now operates from two centres, with its head officein Stockton on Tees and an office in Newcastle upon Tyne.
