Before writing this blog, I read through some of my colleagues’ thoughts on the firm we all work for, and the collective opinion is that Jacksons is a friendly, nurturing, and positive place to work. I can confirm that with certainty.
The first month is over in my new role as a Solicitor in Jacksons’ Dispute Resolution Team, and I must say, I feel very much part of the team and the firm overall already. The firm’s culture means that my colleagues and I can grow in knowledge and experience, with the confidence that we are supported by our employer and the partners here in all that we do. It is clear why so many of my colleagues have spent the majority of their careers with the firm.
Having worked in Teesside from the beginning of my career and have recently moved away from the area to work in the Yorkshire region, being back within the Teesside legal sector (with former colleagues and friends) has felt like a homecoming.
Teesside in general is going through somewhat of a resurrection with respect to industry, business, and commercial opportunities, and it feels like a great time to return, with the quality of work and the learning that stems from that being the best in some time.
The Dispute Resolution Team here at Jacksons has also seen some significant growth, which I have been lucky to benefit from. The teamwork in a collaborative way, both with one another and with other departments, ensures the clients receive the most appropriate and cost-effective assistance in a professional but approachable manner.
An attraction to Jacksons for me personally was how the firm values an individual’s ability to form connections and it is refreshing to dive back into networking and business development in the area to further professional relationships, both new and existing, and I look forward to attending (and hopefully arranging) some fun networking events as I rebuild my connections in the area.
Overall, I am excited to contribute to the future of Jacksons Law Firm and look forward to developing relationships with my colleagues, professional connections, and clients for many years to come.
