After leaving school and studying A-Levels at Hartlepool Sixth Form College, Daniel went on to study a law degree at Northumbria University. He carried out both the LLB and Legal Practice course through the Exempting Route and graduated in 2011.
After graduating, Daniel spent 12 months as a Paralegal before joining a Teesside based practice in 2012, initially as a Paralegal, before commencing a training contract in 2014. He went on to qualify as a Solicitor in 2015, before rising through the ranks to Partner at the Teesside based practice in 2019. After the firm was acquired by a listed national law firm in 2021, he spent 3 years as Partner there, before joining Jacksons to head up the Corporate and Commercial Team in January 2025.
Daniel is an experienced Partner with a demonstrated history of working in the law practice industry, specifically within the Corporate and Commercial field, specialising in mergers, acquisitions and all other company related matters. He regularly undertakes a variety of work including large mergers and acquisitions, disposals, joint ventures, management buyouts (MBOs) / buy-ins, and group reorganisations/restructures for a variety of clients, including a local client base of SMEs and owner managed businesses. In addition, he also regularly advises clients in relation to equity related documents including shareholder agreements, joint ventures, partnership agreements and general day to day company law related advice.
Outside of work Daniel is a keen sportsman with football being the focus, continuing to play semi-professional in the local Northern League.
