Emily graduated from Durham University in June 2017 and joined Jacksons in June 2018, where she worked as a paralegal in the Residential Conveyancing department dealing with all elements of conveyancing transactions including house sales and purchases, re-mortgages and buy-to-lets.
Emily began her training contract with Jacksons in March 2020, completing seats in the firm’s Dispute Resolution and Debt Recovery, Family and Commercial Property Departments. Alongside her training contract, she studied towards her LLM in Legal Practice at Northumbria University.
Emily qualified as a Solicitor in March 2022 and was promoted to Associate in April 2024, she now works full time in the firm’s Dispute resolution and Debt Recovery department working primarily from their head office in Teesside. She deals with all aspects of dispute resolution including contractual disputes, professional negligence, landlord and tenant disputes and debt recovery.
Emily also heads up our Equine Law Services as, as a horse-lover herself and a lawyer, she understands the mechanics of all equine claims and, together with Partner, Toby Joel, they have a combined experience of 24 years in equine law.
When not at work Emily enjoys walking her dogs, baking, and seeing friends.
