Having studied English at the University of Nottingham, Helen went on to complete a law conversion course at the College of Law, York joining Jacksons in April 2010 to undertake her training contract. She has always been particularly interested in the Private Client side of law and qualified into the Wills, Trusts and Probate department in April 2012. Helen was made Associate Solicitor in July 2016 and was made Partner in early 2023 and now heads up the Private Client team across both the Teesside and Newcastle office.
Helen has knowledge and experience beyond her years and prides herself on providing extremely high standards of client care.
Helen’s expertise covers all areas of Private Client. She advises on a range of lifetime planning measures including Wills, tax planning and the operation and administration of Trusts. Helen also deals with of Powers of Attorney including the preparation of General and Lasting Powers of Attorney and the registration of Enduring Powers of Attorney. She has also successfully obtained Court of Protection Deputyship Orders for both Property & Financial and Personal Welfare.
Helen has considerable knowledge in dealing with effective Estate administration for both low and high value Estates including intestate Estates and advising on and preparing complex post death variations.
Helen completed a STEP Diploma in Trusts and Estates in May 2021.
